What Is CompTIA Security+?
RTEK 2000 offers Security+ Certification program as the primary course you will need to take if your job responsibilities include securing network services, network devices, and network traffic. CompTIA Security+ certification provides the first global standard of competency for foundation-level security practitioners –- those with two years of computing networking experience.

The CompTIA Security+ certification tests the security knowledge mastery of an individual with two years on-the-job networking experience, with emphasis on security. The exam covers industry-wide topics, including communication security, infrastructure security, cryptography, access control, authentication, external attack and operational and organization security.

Security+ is an elective or prerequisite to advanced security certifications. It is also the main course you will take to prepare for the CompTIA Security+ examination (exam number SY1-101). In this course, you'll build on your knowledge and professional experience with computer hardware, operating systems, and networks as you acquire the specific skills required to implement basic security services on any type of computer network.

Once a student has mastered the Security+ certification, the next level is the CISSP certification.

Do I need It?
Why this program is better than others? Simply because finally you will get real world, heads-down, hands-on classes delivered by the Information Security Pros. Are you tired from see-slides-only sessions that failed to deliver an expected result? Now you have an opportunity to work with the tools like Smbrelay, L0phtCrack 4, SuperScan v3.0, UDPFlood v2.0, DDosPing v2.0, RealSecure Desktop Protector, Intrusion SecurityAnalyst, and Network Monitor 2.0...!

More arguments for taking Security+ program:
Many corporations recommend or require the Security+ certification for their IT employees. Companies like Sun, IBM/Tivoli Software Group, Symantec, Motorola and Olympus Security Group know the value of a Security+ certification and recommend or require it of their IT employees.

"Olympus saw the huge need for security professionals ... The number one question we are asked about our jobs, is 'How do I get started?' CompTIA Security+ is the answer." - Jeff Recor, President, Olympus Security Group.

Take the first step: get valuable hands-on skills with RTEK 2000.

Important Benefit
A recent Foote Partner's survey of 30,000 IT workers reveals base pay raises for security practitioners are outperforming the overall market for IT professionals. Moreover, security-related skills and certifications are earning some of the highest bonus premiums. Therefore Security+ is the ideal next step for all IT professionals including MCSEs, MCPs, CNEs, CCNAs, CCNPs, and Network+ professionals to add security skills that are increasingly valued by employers.

Close to 100 million personal records compromised: Twenty-three state breach notification laws in place and a bevy of federal laws in Congressional committees. This all spells a more stringent, and often confusing, data privacy and data protection landscape. So, what the security professional must do? LEARN MORE!
